The POS functions need the correct VAT rates: on your products, on individual variations and on your variation groups. This is essential, especially with a registered POS.
Warning
The Unipage system tries to assign VAT as accurately as it can, but always check the rates yourself: as a merchant, you are ultimately responsible. Five minutes of checking saves a lot of headaches later.
VAT on products#
Go to Products, VAT on the management page.
Select the products and choose VAT (BTW): in the pop-up, you set the applicable rates for the whole selection in one go.
Assign VAT automatically#
Would you rather not set everything product by product? On the VAT page, click Auto assign (6/12) (Auto toewijzen). You get a proposal for the automatic assignment: drinks and non-food items (such as packaging and glassware) at 21%, gift vouchers at VAT not applicable, and all other products at 6% pick up / 12% on-site.
For each product and option, you see the current and the proposed rate side by side, and you can still adjust the proposed values. The rates for all products and options are only updated once you confirm. You can't undo this step, so go through the proposal before you confirm.
VAT on variation groups#
You enter the rates for variation groups per group, or for several groups at once: select the groups (or all of them) and assign the same rates in one go via the pop-up.
VAT on individual variations#
If you work on a product sheet with individual variations (not recommended, because they don't appear in the variation overview), you set their VAT at the bottom of the product sheet: for each variation separately, or use the green button to set the same rates for all options in one go. Confirm with Apply (Pas toe).
