Every staff member works on the POS under their own name and PIN code. That way your reports are correct per person, and a GKS registers every transaction correctly.
Adding a team member#
Go to Settings, Team on the management page.
Click Add a team member and enter their e-mail address: the staff member receives an invitation.
Once the user has been created, update their role and details.
For a cashier without their own e-mail account, click Add a cashier and choose a PIN code straight away.
What do you set for each team member?#
Unipos PLUS PIN: the code the staff member uses to log in on the POS, optionally combined with an NFC code.
Sync to Unipos: puts this team member on the POS, so they can log in there with their PIN code. You only need this for people who actually work on the POS: not your accountant, for example.
May start shift, may print day report and may print shift report.
May give discount and may edit menu profiles.
Can access settings: can change all settings in the system.
Warning
Give each team member their own unique PIN code. If team members share a code, your user reports are no longer correct, and with a registered cash register the POS does not register transactions correctly per person.
Clocking users in with an NFC badge#
Connect an NFC reader to the POS and your team logs in with a single scan of a badge or card, without typing a PIN code.
Open the team member on the management page under Settings, Team and fill in the NFC Code field: click in the field and scan the badge. The reader types the code in automatically.
From then on, the team member simply scans their badge on the POS login screen: the POS recognises the code and logs them in straight away.
The PIN code always keeps working as well, for example when someone forgets their badge.
The NISS number#
For each team member, fill in the NISS number: the national register number, 11 digits, which you can find on the back of the identity card. If you work with a GKS, this number is legally required for everyone who works on the POS: every transaction is registered under it.
Warning
If you add two users with the same NISS number, the system treats them as one and the same user.
