Landing page

With the landing page, you put your own mini website in front of your webshop: a welcome page with photos, a promotional banner, featured products, your address on a map and links to your social media. You build it with ready-made blocks, with no knowledge of websites needed. Visitors who type in your webshop address land on the landing page first and continue to your menu with one click.

Creating a page#

In the management page, go to Marketing and then Pages (Pagina's), or go directly via Pages. Click Create page (Pagina aanmaken) and choose Blocks. Your page is created straight away and the editor opens.

On the left is the list of blocks. On the right is a preview that updates with every change. This way you always see what your customer will see.

  • Add block opens the list of available blocks.

  • Use the handle to the left of a block to drag it to another position.

  • Use the switch to turn a block off temporarily without deleting it.

  • Click a block to expand it and fill it in. You can also duplicate or delete it there.

  • Click Save at the top right when you are done. The editor does not save automatically, so save before you leave the page.

The blocks#

The blocks are named as they appear in the editor.

  • Header: the top of your page, with your logo, a Title and an automatic Order online button to your webshop. Choose a Background colour and Textcolours, or add an Image background (the background colour is then ignored).

  • Banner: a narrower strip for a short message, similar to a popup in your webshop. Fill in a Title and Subtitel, for example "Promo! Get 10% off" with the coupon code underneath.

  • Products: highlight up to four products with a Title and Subtitel, for example your bestsellers, a special offer or a new dish. Choose them under Product 1 to Product 4. When your customer clicks a product, it goes straight into their basket. The View our full menu button automatically appears below the products. Put this block near the top of your page.

  • Content Block: a free text box, like in a word processor, for a piece about your business or your story.

  • Images: a photo grid with atmosphere shots of your business or your products. The photos are shown small and open at full size when the visitor clicks them. Drag to change the order.

  • CTA: a block with one goal: sending your customer to the webshop. It has the same options as the Header (colours or background image, Title, Subtitel) and automatically includes the Order online button.

  • Info Blok: a photo and a piece of text side by side. With Image first you put the photo to the left of the text.

  • Map: a Google Maps map with your address. It also automatically shows your opening hours for today. With Show address information you turn the address under the map on or off.

  • Wrapper: a frame in which you place other blocks, with its own Background colour. This lets you create a separate section, for example a Header, Banner and Products for your new products, in a different colour from the rest of the page. With Horizontal you place the blocks in the wrapper next to each other instead of below each other.

  • Socials: a strip with a Title ("Follow us on:") and links to your Facebook and Instagram.

  • Button: a standalone button with your own Title and URL, for example to your reservation page or your website. Always enter a full link, otherwise the button does nothing.

Tip

Start with a Header, then a Products block with your top sellers and a CTA, and finish with Map and Socials. This gives your visitor everything they need to order on one screen.

Page title and address#

In the overview, click the cog next to a page to open the Page settings (Pagina instellingen). There you enter a Title and a URL slug: the part after your webshop address, for example "over-ons". Below it you immediately see the full address. Some words are reserved (such as "login" or "checkout") and each slug can only be used once.

With the buttons in the overview, you view a page (eye), edit it (pencil), duplicate it (copy) or delete it (bin). A duplicated page gets "(copy)" after the title and is set to Draft (Concept), so you can edit it in peace first.

How your customer sees the landing page#

The first page you create is your home page: anyone who opens your webshop address lands there. The navigation bar of your webshop also shows a link for each page, plus the Shop link to your menu.

To go from the landing page to the menu, your customer uses the Order online and View our full menu buttons in the blocks, or Shop in the navigation bar. If they then click your logo, they return to the landing page.

Good to know

The landing page does not replace your menu. You manage your products, categories, opening hours and order settings as usual; the landing page is only the front door.
