Sometimes you want to announce something on your webshop: your holiday, temporary opening hours, or a promotion. With popups, you show that message prominently to every visitor, and thanks to the scheduling, they appear and disappear by themselves.

## Creating a popup

1. Go to [Marketing, Popups](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/popups) on the management page and click **Voeg popup toe** (Add popup).
2. Give your popup a **title** and add extra information, optionally with an image.
3. Under **Planning** (Scheduling), set a start and end date, or let the popup run indefinitely.
4. Set the popup to **Actief** (Active).

## Plan ahead

From the chosen start date, the popup becomes visible on your webshop automatically, and after the end date it disappears by itself. This way, you can set up your holiday for next month today, without having to log in on the day itself. And with an end date, a promotion never stays up too long by accident.

> **Tip:** Use popups sparingly: they interrupt every visitor and can hurt your conversion. For small messages, a custom text on your webshop is often more subtle, via [Settings, Teksten](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/instellingen/copy) (Texts). Save popups for what nobody should miss, such as your holiday.
