# Offers

With offers, you automatically give a discount as soon as your customer's order meets the conditions: think 2 + 1 free, combo discounts or 3 snacks for a fixed price. No manual calculating and no mistakes: the discount appears by itself in the shopping basket.

## Where do offers work?

Offers work on the [Webshop](https://unipage.be/en/support/webshop) and in the app. They are not available on the [Unikiosk](https://unipage.be/en/support/unikiosk) and [Unipos PLUS](https://unipage.be/en/support/unipos-plus). Do you want to give a discount at the POS? Then use the POS's own discount functions.

## Creating an offer

1. Go to [Marketing, Offers](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/offers) on the management page and click **Add offer** (Aanbieding toevoegen).
2. Choose a template to get started quickly, or choose **Skip and set up yourself** (Overslaan en zelf instellen).
3. Under **Purchase conditions** (Koopvoorwaarden), set what the customer must buy: a specific product or a category, optionally with a minimum quantity.
4. Set the reward: the discount percentage, the free item or the bundle price.
5. Set the offer to **Active** (Actief) and save.

## Example: snack of the week, 1 + 1 free

Say the frikandel is your snack of the week this week, with 1 + 1 free. Here is how you set that up:

1. Create a new offer, name it for example Snack of the week, and choose the template **Buy 1, get 1 free** (Koop 1, krijg 1 gratis).
2. Under **Purchase conditions**, choose the product Frikandel. Remember: the free product counts towards the total, so set a minimum of 2 items, of which 1 is free.
3. Set the offer to **Active** and save.

Your customer adds two frikandels to the shopping basket themselves, as the basket never adds products by itself. As soon as the second one is in, it is automatically free. A different snack of the week next week? Simply swap the product in the purchase condition, or schedule a promotion per snack with a start and end date.

## The types at a glance

- **Buy X, get Y free**: for example buy 1 get 1, or 2 + 1 free. The free product counts towards the total: for 2 + 1 free, you therefore set a minimum of 3 products, of which 1 is free. You choose whether the cheapest or the most expensive item becomes free.
- **Combo discount (%)**: a percentage discount when the customer buys several products together, for example 20 percent when buying 2 items. It also works when the customer combines different products from the same category.
- **3 for a fixed price**: for example 3 snacks for 9 euros. The discount is the difference between the normal total and the bundle price.
- **Welcome discount**: only for new customers, on their first order.
- **Loyal customer reward**: for customers who have already placed a minimum number of completed orders, for example 5.

> **Good to know:** For the welcome discount and the loyal customer reward, the customer must be logged in: the check is done on the e-mail address of the account.

> **Tip:** Make the name of your offer match what you set up, for example "3 snacks for 9 euros". That way your customer immediately knows what needs to be in the basket to get the discount.

## Also by weight

Do you sell products by the kilogram, for example as a butcher or caterer? Offers also work by weight. Set the purchase condition in **grams** instead of items, and give away free weight, for example: buy 1 kilogram, get 200 grams free.

You can also work with **tiered prices** (staffelprijzen): from a certain weight, a lower price per kilogram applies. You choose whether the tiered price applies to the entire quantity, or in steps only above the tier threshold. Below the lowest threshold, your customer simply pays the normal product price.

## Conditions and scheduling

- An offer only activates once the purchase conditions are filled in: at least one product or one category. Do you want to give a discount without such conditions? Then use a [coupon](https://unipage.be/en/support/get-started-now/coupons).
- **Scheduling**: set a start and end date, or activate a recurring schedule with days and time windows, for example a student deal every Wednesday afternoon. Handy for public holidays, carnival or holiday periods.
- **Usage limits**: limit the total number of redemptions, or the maximum number of times per customer.

## Combining offers and coupons

- Multiple offers are not combined by default: the offer with the highest **Priority** (Prioriteit) is applied first. Do you want to stack them? Then turn on the setting **Allow this offer to be stacked with other offers** (Sta toe dat deze aanbieding gestapeld wordt met andere aanbiedingen) for each offer.
- A coupon code is separate from your offers and can be used on top of them.

## What your customer sees

- Active offers can appear in the promotion banner on the webshop. You decide this per offer with **Show in webshop banner** (Toon in webshop banner).
- Products that are part of an offer get a label on the product page.
- The discount appears automatically in the shopping basket as soon as the conditions are met, with the discount amount clearly shown. Your customer does add the products themselves: the basket never fills up items by itself.

## Tracking

On the [offers page](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/offers) you see the number of redemptions and the total discount given for each promotion. That way you immediately see which promotions perform well and which you had better adjust.
