# Working with courses

Do you work with starters, main courses and desserts? Then link your products to **courses**: the parts of a meal in the order they are served. This way your team knows right away what to serve when.

## Why courses?

- More structure in your orders and a clear flow between the dining room and the kitchen.
- Fewer mistakes during service, and more calm at busy times.
- Especially useful for restaurants and brasseries with table service. If you mostly do quick takeaway, this feature is less relevant.

## Setting up courses

1. On the management page, go to **BOX configuration (Kassa configuratie)** and open your configuration (for example Default) via **Settings**.
2. In the **Courses (Gangen)** section, create the courses you want, for example starter, main course, dessert and coffee.
3. Link your products to the right course, and from now on your orders will build up in a logical way.
