# Stock management

With stock management, you track your stock directly on the management page. Every sale on [Unipos PLUS](https://unipage.be/en/support/unipos-plus) is automatically deducted from your stock. As soon as something runs out, the product is taken off sale on the [Webshop](https://unipage.be/en/support/webshop) and appears greyed out on the POS.

## Creating stock items

1. Go to [Products, Stock](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/stock-items) on the management page.
2. Click **+ Add stock item** (**+ Voorraaditem toevoegen**).
3. Fill in the details: the **name**, a **code** (for example the barcode) and the **unit**.
4. In the stock settings, fill in the **cost per unit**, the **minimum stock level**, the **reorder point** and the **optimal stock level**.
5. Save your changes.

## Setting your current stock

1. In the overview, click **Edit** (**Bewerken**) next to the stock item.
2. Choose **Adjust stock** (**Voorraad aanpassen**).
3. Fill in the fields: the type of adjustment (**purchase**, **waste** or **correction**), the adjustment itself, the reason and any notes.

The overview immediately shows the updated stock.

## Link your products

Open a product via [Products](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/producten) and go to **Stock ingredients** (**Voorraad ingrediënten**) within that product. You have three options there:

- **Create stock item from product** (**Maak voorraaditem van product**): the product itself becomes a stock item, which is handy for a can of soft drink, for example.
- **Add ingredients** (**Ingrediënten toevoegen**): link several stock items to one product, for example a burger with a bun, meat and tomato.
- **Manage stock** (**Beheer voorraad**): adjust the stock directly from the product.

> **Warning:** Does a product consist of several ingredients? As soon as one ingredient runs out, the whole product is taken off sale.

## What happens when stock is low?

The status of each stock item automatically follows the levels you have set:

- **OK**: the stock is above the minimum level, so the product is on sale as normal.
- **Low** (**Laag**): the stock has dropped below the minimum level.

If an item drops below the minimum, the product automatically becomes **unavailable** on the [Webshop](https://unipage.be/en/support/webshop) and appears **greyed out** on [Unipos PLUS](https://unipage.be/en/support/unipos-plus). That way, your team can see straight away what can no longer be sold.

The POS and the management page sync every 30 to 60 seconds. When you make a sale, the stock goes down automatically. If you do a refund on the POS, the units are added back.

> **Tip:** Check that the units per product are set correctly. You can set it so that 1 unit is deducted per sale (for example a bottle), but also several units per sale (for example 5).

## Working faster in bulk

- **Bulk edit** (**Bulk aanpassen**): select several items on the [Stock](https://beheer.unipage.eu/deeplink/stock-items) page using the checkboxes and click **Bulk edit** to change prices or stock levels in one go.
- **Bulk create** (**Bulk aanmaken**): click **Bulk create** at the top and fill in all the stock items you want to add in one go. They appear in the overview straight away.
- Want to quickly check what needs attention? Look at the **Status** and **To order** (**Te bestellen**) columns, or use the **Only low stock** (**Alleen lage voorraad**) filter.
