# Choosing which products a production centre shows

In the management page, open **Instellingen > Keukenschermen** (Settings > Kitchen displays) and click the configuration of your kitchen display. Go to the **Productiecentra** (production centres) tab. Every production centre has a **Producten** (products) row. It says **Alle 28** (all 28) when the screen shows every product, or for example **7 van 28** (7 of 28) when you have hidden products. The number depends on your business.

*Choosing products per production centre*

- Click Ok

**Step 4**

The message Configuratie aangepast appears. Koude kant now shows 7 van 28 products, Afhaal stays on Alle 28.

## How it works

1. Click the number in the **Producten** row of the production centre.
2. The window **Producten op** (products on) followed by the name of the production centre opens. Every product of the business is listed there, per category. A tick means the product appears on this production centre.
3. Tick what this production centre should show and untick what it should not show. Type in **Zoek een product...** (search a product) to find a product quickly.
4. Click **Ok**. The count next to **Producten** updates straight away and you see the message **Configuratie aangepast** (configuration changed).

With **Alles tonen** (show all) and **Alles verbergen** (hide all) you switch every product on or off in one click. A click on the name of a category does the same for that category. Both work on what you see at that moment: if you search for cola first, **Alles verbergen** only affects the products found.

> **Tip:** A product you untick here only disappears from this production centre. The other production centres keep showing it and you sell it at the till as usual.

> **Warning:** An order that is already on the screen does not change. Your choice applies to the orders the till sends after that.

### Can I also set this per product?

Yes. In the product editor under **Printers & keukenscherm** (printers and kitchen display), or for several products at once from the product list. All three change the same setting.

### What happens to a new product?

A new product appears on every production centre. Untick it here where it does not belong.

### Can I set this for a status screen too?

Yes. Open the same window on the status screen. There, a tick means orders with that product are shown on the status screen.

## Turn products on or off per printer or kitchen display

Switch the same products off on a printer or a kitchen display in one go, and see straight away where each product is currently shown.

Your products are on for every printer and every kitchen display by default. Sometimes you don't want that: drinks don't belong on the cold buffet, and soup doesn't belong at the bar. Instead of opening each product separately, you switch them off together from the product overview.

The **Choose visibility (Kies zichtbaarheid)** window shows the products you have ticked as rows, and your printers or kitchen displays as columns. A tick means the product is shown or printed there.

### Preparation

The columns come from your printers and kitchen displays. Set these up first under **Settings > Printer** and **Settings > Kitchen displays**. If you have several businesses, you see the printers and displays of all your businesses. The name of the business is shown under the column.

### How it works

1. Open **Products > All products**.
2. Tick the products you want to change together.
3. Click the three dots next to **VAT** and choose **Printer** or **KDS** (your kitchen displays).
4. Set the boxes as you want them. Click the name of a printer or kitchen display to switch the whole column on or off in one go, or click the name of a product to change that row.
5. Click **Ok**.

*Four products switched off in one go on the Afhaal kitchen display*

- Click KDS

**Step 2**

Choose visibility: the products as rows, the kitchen displays as columns. Bakje friet is already off on Koude kant, so you immediately see the saved status.
- Click Afhaal

**Step 3**
![The whole Afhaal column is off. With Ok you only save the boxes you have changed.](https://unipage.be/storage/support/screens/zichtbaarheid-printer-kds-3.png)
The whole Afhaal column is off. With Ok you only save the boxes you have changed.
- Click Ok

**Step 4**
![The message Visibility was applied confirms the change.](https://unipage.be/storage/support/screens/zichtbaarheid-printer-kds-4.png)
The message Visibility was applied confirms the change.

You immediately see the status that is saved: a product you hid earlier has no tick. Only the boxes you change are saved. The other products and the other printers or displays stay as they were.

> **Tip:** A row or column that is fully ticked gets a green tick. This way you can see at a glance whether a product is on everywhere.

### Also in the product editor

If you open a single product in the product editor, the settings for the printers and displays of your other businesses are kept. An exception you set here is therefore not lost if you edit the product again later.

### The product still shows on a kitchen display. Why is that?

In the product overview, click the three dots next to that product and choose **KDS** or **Printers**. There you see, per kitchen display or printer, whether the product is shown. If the tick is on, the product is visible there.

### I removed a printer. Does the product still show up there?

No. A printer or kitchen display that you remove no longer receives tickets or products. The old setting stays in the product, but it no longer has any effect.

### Does this also apply to the webshop?

No. These settings are about printing and the kitchen display. Whether a product is in the webshop is controlled by the product's availability.
