# GKS 2.0 tolerance period extended until 31 March 2026

In its announcement of 25 June 2025, the government informed us that the mandatory installation of the new certified cash register system (GKS 2.0) had been postponed until 1 January 2026 as a measure of tolerance.

However, today it has been decided to extend the tolerance period **until 31 March 2026**.

Specifically, if you need to install a GKS for your hospitality business between 1 January and 31 March 2026, we recommend that you install GKS 1.0 (e.g. Unipos PLUS). This will ensure that you comply with your obligations.
